Get to know us

Our journey began as an idea to create something bigger than a camp or activity — an experience that would challenge, inspire and connect young people on a global stage. Over time, that idea became a first-of-its-kind expedition for Tasmanian Venturer Scouts, bringing together youth and leaders from 1st Kingston, Blackmans Bay and 1st Tamar. Through adventure, service, cultural exchange and remembrance, we are creating a journey that not only honours the past, but helps shape the future for the next generation of Scouts.

Our mission

Mission of the Trip

The mission of this expedition is to inspire Tasmanian Venturer Scouts through a life-changing international journey that brings together adventure, service, leadership, friendship and remembrance.

Our aim is to give young people the opportunity to connect with the roots of the Scouting Movement, challenge themselves through shared experiences in new environments, and build meaningful relationships with Scouts and communities in other countries. At the heart of the journey is a commitment to personal growth, cultural understanding and service to others.

This expedition is also a mission of remembrance. By travelling to Gallipoli, our contingent will honour the courage, sacrifice and legacy of the ANZACs, while helping young Australians develop a deeper understanding of the history, values and human stories connected to that place.

Beyond the journey itself, our mission is to create a pathway for future generations of Venturer Scouts. As a first-of-its-kind initiative, this trip is about opening new possibilities, building confidence in what can be achieved, and leaving a legacy of international connection, service and opportunity for those who follow.

Overall, this mission is about helping young people return home stronger, more capable and more connected — with a deeper sense of purpose, a broader view of the world, and memories and lessons that will stay with them for life.

Our vision

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a powerful and lasting legacy for Tasmanian Venturer Scouts through international adventure, service, cultural connection and remembrance.

We see this expedition as more than a single journey. It is a pathway to broaden horizons, strengthen leadership, and show young people that Scouting can open doors to experiences that are truly life changing. By connecting the history of Scouting with modern youth adventure and international friendship, we aim to inspire a new generation of Venturers to think bigger, lead with courage and serve with purpose.

We envision a future where opportunities like this become part of the growing legacy of Scouting in Tasmania — giving young people the confidence to step into the world, embrace challenge, build global connections and return home with skills and experiences that benefit their communities.

At its heart, our vision is to honour the past, enrich the present and help shape the future. Through this journey, we hope to build not only unforgettable memories, but also a stronger culture of leadership, service, resilience and international understanding for many years to come.

Meet Our Expedition Team

Our strength lies in our individuality. Together, we have brought together a capable and experienced leadership team whose skills complement one another across every aspect of this journey.

Our team includes leaders who have delivered major events, supported Scout contingents across Australia, and built extensive experience in adventurous activities, travel logistics, catering, and financial operations. This depth of knowledge helps ensure our expedition is well planned, well supported, and ready for the challenges and opportunities of international travel.

Supporting the broader leadership group is our dedicated medical and welfare team, providing an extra layer of care and reassurance for participants throughout the expedition. Together, we are committed to creating a safe, meaningful and memorable experience for every person involved.
