About Us & Our Journey

About the Expedition

Tasmanian Venturer Scouts from the 1st Kingston, Blackmans Bay and 1st Tamar Units are undertaking a remarkable international journey to explore the origins of Scouting, experience adventure in some of the world’s most iconic locations, provide service alongside Scouts in other countries, and honour the sacrifice of the ANZACs at Gallipoli.

This expedition brings together 25 Venturer Scouts and 10 Leaders and support volunteers in a program that has grown from a simple idea into a historic reality over 15 months of planning, preparation and community support.

As the first expedition of its kind undertaken through Scouts in Tasmania, this journey is about far more than travel. It is about opening doors for young people to grow in confidence, leadership and global understanding. It is about building international friendships, strengthening the values of service and remembrance, and creating opportunities that will leave a lasting legacy for future Venturer Scouts.

Through this experience, our contingent will walk in the footsteps of Scouting’s founders, take part in adventurous activities, contribute to meaningful service, and stand in places of deep historical significance. Most importantly, they will return with new skills, broader perspectives and memories that will shape them for life.
